The ION Guarantee

The details

What's covered — and what isn't

Covered by the guarantee

On us

Damaged or unusable on arrival.

Crushed, dried out, or moldy plants when the box is opened.

Wrong variety or short count.

You ordered Albion and got something else, or fewer plants than the pack size.

Failure to break dormancy.

Planted promptly and properly, watered, and still no growth within [45] days of planting.

Certified organic, guaranteed.

Every plant is covered by our CCOF certificate — if it isn't, that's on us.

Outside the guarantee

Beyond our control

Plants held too long before planting.

Dormant crowns need to be in the ground within [7] days of delivery (or refrigerated).

Drought, neglect, or no irrigation.

New plantings need consistent water while they establish.

Animal, insect, or weather damage after establishment.

Deer, gophers, hail, and late frosts are farming, not defects.

Planted far outside the variety's zone or season.

Zone and timing guidance is on every product page.

If something's wrong

How to report a problem

1

Photograph it

Within [5] days of delivery for arrival issues — a few photos of the plants and the packing slip is all we need.

2

Email the nursery

Send your order number and photos to innovativeorganicnursery@gmail.com, or call (530) 424-2227.

3

Replacement or credit

We’ll replace the plants in the next shipping window, or issue a credit or refund per our refund policy — your choice where stock allows.

Ordered dormant crowns and not sure they're alive?

Scratch a root gently — cream-white inside means alive. Or just send us a photo before you plant. We’d rather answer a “is this normal?” email than replace a healthy plant that got thrown out.

Before you plant

Give the guarantee nothing to do.

Nearly every failed planting we see traces to three things: waiting too long, planting the crown at the wrong depth, or underwatering the first month. Three short guides prevent all three.

Don't just take our word for it

“Ordered the Heritage raspberry and Triple Crown blackberry starts for our family farm. Shipping was fast, packaging was solid, and they’re producing beautifully.”
