Refunds & Returns Policy
Because Innovative Organic Nursery (ION) sells live plants and other perishable agricultural products, our refund and return policy differs from that of non-perishable goods. Please read this section carefully before placing an order.
Live Plants & Perishable Products
All live plants, cuttings, and other perishable products are final sale and not eligible for return. This includes, but is not limited to, strawberry plants, berry plants, and any other nursery stock.
Live plants are highly sensitive to handling, transit time, climate, and post-delivery care, all of which are outside of our control once an order ships.
Arrival Guarantee (Live Plants)
ION guarantees that live plants will arrive in viable condition when shipped according to our recommended shipping windows.
To be eligible for a replacement or store credit under this guarantee:
- You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
- You must provide clear photos of the plants and original packaging
- Plants must have been cared for according to the included planting and care instructions
Approved claims will result in a replacement shipment or store credit, at ION’s discretion. Refunds are not issued for live plants.
Non-Perishable Items
If applicable, non-perishable merchandise (such as branded goods or supplies) may be returned within 30 days of delivery, provided that:
- The item is unused and in original condition
- The item is returned in original packaging
- Proof of purchase is provided
Shipping costs are non-refundable, and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to an ION error.
Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Live plants and perishable goods
- Sale or discounted items
- Gift cards
- Downloadable or digital products
Order Issues & Errors
If your order arrives damaged due to a shipping error or is incorrect due to an ION fulfillment mistake, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can resolve the issue promptly.
Cancellations
Orders may be canceled only before shipping. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
Shipping Delays & Weather
ION is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather events, or circumstances beyond our control. We carefully time shipments to align with optimal planting windows, but transit risks are inherent when shipping live plants.
